The amazing adventures of JC and thee Gorgons start in the early 80's, in the big bad “cités” of Paris and Romainville. JC lived in the super-lovely-smashing-great Cité Youri Gagarine (Romainville - that’s the “town of romain” like skaville, drumstown, squareville … Romainville !) where this impressionably tall young man spent his spare time practising his skills as a radio Disc-jockey with the fabulous and recently licensed : radio Canal 9.
A Garage fanatic at heart (amongst other styles, for you should have seen his dub records collection !), JC gets somehow to hear about a group of four very trash-o-musically-minded lads who seem to exert their talent playing small venues and friend’s of friend’s party, for it was told at the time they had no friends themselves, but only friends’s of more friend’s who themselves denied they’ had befriended anyone in the first place and everybody was left in a real sense of confusion but extremely pleased that they could enjoy the rawest discharge of Gorgomusic the four popular lads would display for them.
Now, how did the JC and the gorgz met…? My memory escapes me, but as soon as they did, they became sort of unseparable…JC was undeniably the fifth Gorgon to say the least and soon decided to have them live on his radio show, as resident guests, one evening a week. It's was a mutual discovery !.....
